Past President Hendrik Kraay was named an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro-Tijuca on 1 August 2018. Calgary Olympic and Rio de Janeiro-Tijuca are twin clubs and have partnered on two projects, a Global Grant in support of Rio de Janeiro's Ronald McDonald House and a Matching Grant to help outfit an intensive care unit at the Venerável Ordem Terceira de São Francisco Hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
