Cambodia Literacy Integrative Project

After the Pol Pot regime devastated Cambodia in the late 1970s, the country found itself in complete rebuild. The educational system has taken a long time and is still below standards in Asia and the world. The Rotary Club of Calgary addressed the root cause of high rates of illiteracy in children in rural areas through a successful education project funded by The Rotary Foundation. This project is coming to an end and the next phase (CLIP), currently planned to begin later this year, will extend the positive impact to other communities and now include Kindergarten. Join Manon in an armchair trip to Cambodia to discover how your club can assist in making a huge difference in this amazing part of the world.
