YW Calgary - Walk a Mile

YW Calgary is the largest and longest serving women’s organization in Calgary. We provide emergency housing, childcare services, employment resource services, and counselling to over 5,000 men, women, and children in the community. We recently moved into our new Inglewood Hub Facility, that features  100 new transitional housing suites and 90 childcare spots! It also features a brand new community kitchen and gym.

WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES is one of our most popular and longest running fundraising events that invites hundreds of walkers in high heels (or other types of shoes) to march in support of survivors of domestic abuse. This year, we raised over $95,000 towards our domestic violence programs.
